The horses most apt for such refined style of riding are the so-called "baroque" horses originating from the Iberian peninsula.

Since the age of times, this horse - often called "the horse of a king and the king of horses" or "the pedestal of emperors" has been bred and selected for its skills in singular combat, bullfighting and for its elevated gaits.

It is an outstanding example of the "artistic" horse.

The Academy only uses horses of this breed, especially Lusitanos, characterised by their nobility and friendliness.

All theses horses are stallions.
